Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job

The position will teach courses in the Department of Mass Communication and focusing on Broadcast Production. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of all phases of television and video production. This position should be able to teach multicam production in both field and studio. Other class assignments may include remote van operation, video editing, audio production and intro to broadcast production.

It is expected that you will serve on department committees, participate in departmental activities, assist with department and university production projects as well as oversee activities in the production studios.

The successful candidate will have a solid production portfolio of their own and meet the following minimum requirements:

Educational Requirements for the Position

Master’s degree preferred, other degrees will be considered with commensurate experience.

Experience Required for the Position

Minimum of 2 years television production experience
Teaching experience in higher education
Skills and experience should include camera operation, live directing, technical directing, audio operation, studio setup, lighting and video editing.
