DescriptionUniversity of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Postdoctoral Fellow in Protein BiophysicsSkaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences has an immediate opening for a full-time postdoctoral fellow position in in the laboratory of Dr. John Carpenter. The University of Colorado provides an outstanding research environment, and we are seeking highly motivated and independent postdoctoral fellows.  The research projects provide opportunities to have major, positive impacts on human medicine by investigating the mechanisms of aggregation and particle formation for therapeutic proteins. The projects focus on applying advanced analytical methods and biophysical insights to mitigate protein degradation during critical bioprocessing steps, such as low-pH viral inactivation. In addition, the research will employ state-of-the bioprocessing and analytical equipment for groundbreaking new results. The projects will be conducted in collaboration with leading global pharmaceutical and instrument companies.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences, biophysics, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or a closely related field.  Candidates with excellent writing skills, as evidenced by multiple peer-reviewed publications, are preferred.  Curiosity and a passion for biomedical science; and an ability and desire to work independently, but also be part of a cooperative, productive team are highly desirable.  

Salary and Benefits:
