Professional Research Assistant

This position reports directly to the Director of the Radiochemistry Program in the Department of Radiology, and is involved in developing radiolabeled peptides for cancer imaging and therapy. The selected candidate will work with postdoctoral researchers and graduate students to evaluate novel molecular probes for cancer imaging and therapy. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting cell culture, cell binding assay, HPLC analysis, animal biodistribution, imaging and therapy. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining laboratory notes and performing statistical analyses of samples and interpreting research results. Routine work also includes general maintenance of laboratory and equipment, ordering of supplies. Other duties may be assigned by the PI as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include: Master’s Degree in Organic Chemistry, AnalyticalChemistry, Molecular Biology,Biochemistry or related field. 


Desired qualifications include: researchexperience in cell culture, HPLC analysis, animal biodistribution and imagingstudies. Ability to conduct the experiments and record the research results,summarize novel research findings for grant reports and publications. Teamplayer in research environment with postdoctoral researchers and graduatestudents.
