Job Summary:
The Division of Pulmonary Sciences and Critical Care Medicine is seeking an organized individual for a temporary, part-time position (up to 9 months) to help recruit and retain participants for industry and grant-funded clinical protocols. This 0.50 FTE position is based at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora. This Research Recruiter position will be responsible for screening, recruitment, enrollment, regulatory compliance, and other duties associated with performing clinical research activities related to recruitment and retention. Must have excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills. 
 

Compensation:
This position pays $20/hour for up to 20/hours a week.

 Examples of Work Performed:

  • Coordinate recruitment of subjects based onstrict inclusion/exclusion criteria
  • Complete electronic medical records (EPIC)queries to pre-screen and screen study subjects
  • Interview prospective subjects for a variety ofresearch clinical trials.
  • Educate potential subjects on the details of thestudies through phone contacts and personal interviews
  • Recruit and participate in outreach activities at research/health fairs, University events, etc.
  • Coordinate study set-up, visits and procedureswith multiple departments and research teams
  • Adherence to and technical knowledge ofregulatory compliance issues related to human subjects research
  • Participate in staff in-service trainings on study protocols, team and divisional staff meetings
  • Work closely with the Principal Investigators and study staff regarding recruitment and retention of subjects
  • Attend trainings as necessary for required credentials
  • Other duties as assigned
  • The Research Recruiter will be supervised by and will report to the Program Manager and Principle Investigator

    This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

    QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Must be able to meet credentialing requirements at area hospitals
    Required Competencies/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
    • Ability to prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under strict time constraints
    • Good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Proficient with computers and Microsoft office software, computer data entry, and data management
    • Ability to follow detailed and complicated protocols
    • Ability to be team oriented and flexible
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    Desired Qualifications:

    • Prior clinical research experience
    • Knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines and human subjects research
    • Experience with patient-oriented research
    • Knowledge of IRB submissions and regulatory compliance
    • Experience with electronic data capture systems (REDCAP, OnCore)
