Instructor

Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering, the successful candidate will be expected to teach lecture and laboratory courses at all levels; aid in developing new courses throughout the undergraduate curriculum that focus on interdisciplinary and human-centered design; participate in curriculum modernization and implement effective pedagogies; participate in undergraduate student advising; and lead student groups, including learning communities and extracurricular club teams.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
  • MS in electrical or computer engineering or a closely related field by the date of hire
  • Evidence of being an effective educator
 Preferred Qualifications:
  • PhD in electrical or computer engineering or a closely related field by the date of hire
  • Experience teaching a wide range of courses, including in the areas of design, circuits, electronics, and computer engineering
  • Experience leading extracurricular student groups including learning communities and club teams
  • Experience with/interest in collaborative, interdisciplinary education
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with online training techniques and technologies
  • Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate education and student success
  • Experience in course and curriculum development
