DescriptionThe Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering atthe University of Colorado Colorado Springs invites applications for atenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level. Applicants musthave a demonstrated ability or potential to make significant contributions inexternally funded research and publish in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and a commitment to excellence in teaching.

 The MAE Department offers BS, MS, and PhD degrees inmechanical engineering and an undergraduate minor in aerospace engineering. TheDepartment is currently the largest in the College of Engineering and AppliedSciences with an enrollment of approximately 550 undergraduate and 30 graduatestudents. Located in the beautiful front range of the Rocky Mountains, theDepartment benefits from its proximity to a wide range of high tech industrialand military organizations.

 The successful candidate will be expected to makebalanced contributions in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels,research, and campus and professional service.

All outstanding candidates whose research interestspertain to aerospace engineering will be considered, but preference will begiven to applicants working in the areas of Thermal/Fluid Systems,specifically:
