DescriptionThe Department of Biology at the University ofColorado Colorado Springs will establish and maintain a pool of temporary Lecturers from which future appointments to non-tenure-track teachingpositions will be made. Temporary Lecturer appointments will be part-time (lessthan 50% time) and will be made semester-by-semester. Temporary Lecturerappointments are not eligible for group health and life insurance benefits orleave accrual, and pay rate is dependent on the number of courses taught.

 Applicants for temporary Lecturer positions must have aMasters degree that qualifies them to teach lecture and/or lab courses offeredby the Biology Department (course list is here.). Applicants should address theirqualifications for teaching specific classes in a Teaching Statement.

 This posting will remain open until May 1, 2019.Applications will be reviewed as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:Masters degree in Biology or discipline related tocourses to be taught. For those with Master’s degrees in other disciplines,such as education, engineering, psychology, etc., applicants must have 18credit hours of graduate work related to the Biology courses to be taught.
