Our Admissions Officers work diligently each day to respond to student inquiries, interview our prospective students and walk students through the entire application and enrollment process once they have made the decision to attend Strayer University. - Partner with other departments as necessary to finalize enrollment process, including Student Academic Services, Student Financial Services and the University Registrar’s Office.
- Build strong rapport and relationship with prospective students.
- Expose prospective students to Strayer University’s high-quality programs, convenient locations, and the flexibility of online and on-campus courses.
- Enroll new students and ensure appropriate basis of admission is obtained, all prerequisites are satisfied, if applicable, procure previous college transcripts and ensure files are complete to assist students with initial registration process.
- Adhere to all University policies and procedures and federal, state, and accrediting agency rules with respect to recruitment and enrollment.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education highly preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in a fast-paced environment (i.e. Phone based customer service, inbound and outbound sales, call center and/or admissions/recruiting).
- Ability to work regular evenings and/or Saturday hours.
- Must be able to travel 10% of time.
- Must be able to lift 10 lbs.
- Mobility within the office including movement from floor to floor.
- Travel via plane, car and metro may be required to perform this job.
- Access information using a computer.
- Effectively communicate with potential students, students, faculty and staff via phone, text, computer and face to face.
- Effectively cope with a fast pace environment.
- Strong mental acuity.
