The Department of Bioengineering is currently accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow for a variety of existing laboratory courses with the opportunity to create a new lecture or laboratory course in the future. The position will require a full-time focus on laboratory and classroom teaching and will begin no later than July 2019.

The Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow position is targeted for relatively new instructors. However, more experienced instructors are also encouraged to apply. All applications will be considered.

Education RequiredPhD or other Doctoral DegreeMajor/Discipline

Bioengineering or related field.

Education Preferred

PhD in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or other closely related engineering discipline

Experience Required1 yearType of Experience

Experience with classroom or lab class teaching or serving as a teaching assistant at the university level; teaching or significant TA experience in an undergraduate engineering program; candidate should have done coursework/research involving fundamental engineering topics.

Experience Preferred

Teaching certificate.

Skills Required

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Skills Preferred

Ideal candidate will have a strong interest in working with the undergraduate community and
contributing to undergraduate advising.

Physical Demands

Sitting, standing, bending, and kneeling.
