Job Details

NYU Washington, DC seeks two part-time language lecturers to teach Spanish language courses at the advanced beginner and advanced intermediate levels for summer 2019. The courses are for graduate students in NYU's College of Global Public Health Cross-Continental Master of Public Health (MPH) program. The Cross-Continental MPH is a full-time, one-year program that trains highly motivated students to embrace the challenge of global public health through a practice-based, skills-focused curriculum. Each year the program is taught over three terms in three continents at three different NYU global sites. For the 2019-2020 program, students will study in Washington, D.C., Buenos Aires and Madrid. 

The courses will take place at NYU's academic center in Washington D.C. during the summer of 2019 (June to August), pending administrative and budgetary approval.

Qualifications

MA degree required, Ph.D. strongly preferred.

Candidates should have native or near native fluency in Spanish and English and must be familiar with communicative language teaching methods. Preference will be given to candidates with experience and demonstrated evidence of excellence in language teaching at all levels, solid interpersonal and organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively.
