The internationally renowned Department of Kinesiology and Community Health (http://kch.illinois.edu) within the College of Applied Health Sciences (http://ahs.illinois.edu) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (http://illinois.edu) is searching for outstanding candidates with a background in health systems and health administration. The Department recently developed a Master of Science in Health Administration program to expand upon our current robust undergraduate program, which prepares students to work in high-level health administration careers. We seek individuals with diverse backgrounds, training, and professional experience that demonstrate a strong understanding of health administration. Successful applicants should have expertise in aspects of health administration such as economics, finance, management, strategic planning, and/or quality improvement. Successful applicants will contribute to the Department’s instructional mission, teach undergraduate and graduate classes, and have the opportunity to advance scholarship in their area of expertise. The position is a 9-month, non-tenure track appointment at the rank of Specialized Faculty/Instructor with a preferred start date of August 16, 2019.

Successful candidates should have an earned masters or doctorate in health administration or a related field. Strong record of excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level is preferred. Desired qualifications include successful leadership, consulting, or research experience in the health administration field and a proven ability to establish collaborative relationships with health care agencies.
Compensation is competitive and will be commensurate with the applicant's record.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Successful applicants will instruct in both the undergraduate and graduate curriculum and in more than one content area. While area of specialization is open, a successful candidate must be able to teach courses such as health systems, finance, management and other pertinent areas. Applicants with experience in any of these health administration areas will be considered.
