Academic Programs Coordinator Job Number Full/Part Time Schedule Salary 201807121981 Full Time 8AM - 5PM $40,300 - $69,550 Position Information International Education Programs (IEP) at the University of California, Riverside (UCR) Extension, has one of the largest and most successful international programs in the USA. Each year, IEP welcomes over 4,000 international students from over 40 countries. UCR has been offering high quality programs since 1975, including a multiple-level ESL program, TESOL programs, academic pathways programs, concurrent enrollment, post-graduate diplomas/certificates, and custom designed programs for short-term groups of visiting students and professionals. Education Education Requirements Degree Requirement Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required
Conditions Condition Requirement Continuing education in related field. Required Experience Experience Requirement Minimum of 2 years of related experience. Required Experience supporting or working in the education field. Required Experience networking, cultivating and maintaining positive relationships with a variety of educational partners. Special Conditions Special Condition Requirement Duties may require direct contact with children (defined as individuals under the age of 18). Completion of the Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA) will be required. Required Must successfully pass a background check. Required
Minimum Requirements Working knowledge of current public education programs and trends.
Good analytical skills to understand how business needs can be addressed through the design and delivery of training programs.
Working skills to produce and deliver programs.
Good reading, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, and good presentation skills.
Working knowledge of conducting needs assessment.
Working knowledge of delivering public educational programs.
Ability to create remarkable customer service experiences, including skill in identifying the client's perspective and maintaining a commitment to excellence in customer service. Ability to listen and respond to the needs of customers to achieve excellent customer service measured by outcomes rather than activities.
Excellent ability to anticipate the needs of, respond to situations with flexibility and interact with a professional and welcoming demeanor to clients and staff. Ability to foster a collaborative and cooperative team environment and function as a supportive team member with academic and staff personnel at all levels.
Ability to assess complex situations, keep others informed and make decisions that benefit the organization. Ability to adapt to changing business needs, conditions and work responsibilities in a high volume environment. Ability to respond and remain flexible around changing priorities, fluctuating workloads and constant succession of inquiries.
Skill in using business software systems in the completion of work assignments; i.e., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
Thorough and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and presentation skills.
Ability to organize complex projects including prioritizing, multi-tasking and tracking information while ensuring accuracy. Excellent time management and problem solving techniques.
Ability to work with a wide range of people with diverse cultural backgrounds, including those holding senior positions. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to speak with and listen perceptively to persons of various international backgrounds. Ability to network, cultivate and maintain positive relationships with a variety of clients.
Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of departmental and organization policies and procedures; knowledge of educational program content and objectives.

Fluency in a language other than English.
