Job Description Summary

Position Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate event set-ups and take-downs.
  • Make decisions regarding last minute set-up change requests feasibility and safety in conjunction with the Event Coordinator.
  • Assist in maintaining equipment inventories in each storage location.
  • Coordinate with Facilities to provide assistance and support for internal event set-ups and equipment drop-offs.

  • Ability to manage staff and communicate effectively with internal partners

Must be able to work nights and weekends.
Must be available on short notice and on a call in basis.
Hours will depend on the needs of the university.
There could be weeks with no hours available.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimal Qualifications:
For Candidates that are under the age of 18:
High School students can apply with the Student General Employment Certificate, Form AT-19, required by New York State.
You must be at least 16 years old to apply.

Minimal Experience: 1 year in event and facilities operations.

Physical Demands: The employee must have the ability to lift and move heavy items weighing up to 100 pounds on a frequent basis.
