JOB SUMMARY

The position oversees the college’s plan for academic/administrative assessment and provides support for integrated data systems used by Institutional Research for reporting of institutional, system and third-party reports, surveys and business analytics. The position provides guidance for the development and implementation of a comprehensive program of assessment for the purpose of institutional improvements in accordance with University System of Georgia policies and with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) accreditation requirements. The position creates, assists in creation, or maintains business analytic reports for internal and external constituents.

MAJOR DUTIES

•Oversees the college plan for assessment, determines a common timetable for assessment stages, and advises all assessment activities by aiding with the selection of assessable criteria and the selection or development of appropriate instruments by which the college measures improvement and holds itself accountable to its constituents.
•Provides general support to the college’s assessment program through direct support of the academic and administrative units.
•Educates academic and administrative staff on data collection instruments. Assists with administering and analyzing surveys to assess both college-wide and departmental goals and objectives.
•Performs reviews and analyses of assessment plans and reports. Completes follow-up as required to ascertain changes made as a result of the assessment report.
•Serves as an institutional repository for assessment reports and assists with the maintenance of a comprehensive institutional assessment database.
•Assists college efforts to satisfy the requirements of SACSCOC.
•Attends conferences and workshops in order to develop knowledge of Institutional Research, Effectiveness and assessment.
•Conduct data analysis and research support for internal and external institutional data requests using quantitative and statistical procedures.
•Designs, creates, and maintains internal and external reports for management using a variety of tools.
•Assists in design of business analytics for the institution.
•Performs related duties as assigned.

Salary is 37,112.64

Minimum Qualifications:

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION

•Mastery of summative and formative academic and administrative assessment principles and procedures
•Knowledge of applied research, statistical analysis, and data integration
•Ability to adapt assessment procedures to enhance student learning, including the appropriate use of traditional, technology-assisted, hands-on, and other forms of instruction

•Knowledge of SACSCOC or other higher education accreditation agency accreditation principles
•Ability to exhibit a positive and courteous attitude with coworkers, students, faculty and staff
•Knowledge of computers and job related software programs including database query tools and business analytic tool such as Tableau or Microsoft BI.
•Skill in written and oral communication including the preparation of clear and precise administrative reports
•Knowledge of current trends and solutions especially related to data scripting, data reporting, and business analytics
•Skill in preparation of clear and precise administrative reports

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

•Master’s degree in a course of study related to the occupational field, or
•Baccalaureate degree with three years of experience in a related field
