The University of Toledo is seeking a nine month tenure-track faculty member for the Respiratory Care Program. Depending upon experience and qualifications, this individual will either assume the position
of Program Director or faculty member.
The individual will be responsible for achieving Program objectives, goals, and outcomes required for continued CoARC accreditation.
Responsibilities:
-Teach undergraduate courses within the curriculum of the Respiratory Care Program. Participate in graduate courses within area of specialization in the Department of Kinesiology.
Establish an independent/collaborative research program resulting in presentations at the national level and publications in refereed journals.
Research areas of specialization within the College of Health Sciences include High Fidelity Simulation and Inter professional Education (The University has a recently opened $35 million, free-standing, high fidelity simulation center), Health Education/Human Performance, Biomechanics, Motor/neuromuscular Control, Athletic Training, Health Education and Promotion, Curriculum Development, Educational Technology, Educational Research and Measurement, Health Care Administration, and Public Health, Additional research/collaboration opportunities exist within the University of Toledo College of Medicine, including aspects of Pulmonology/pulmonary Rehabilitation.
Opportunities for clinical trials are also available in several area hospitals, and institutional set-up funds will be available. The University of Toledo places a heavy emphasis upon interdisciplinary, transformational research.

- Qualifications
Required terminal degree (PHD, EdD, DO, MD, PharmD) or all but dissertation (ABD), but must have degree completed by time of hire. RRT Credential, Ohio RCP License (or eligible) RRT with at least 4 years of experience RRT with at least 2 years of experience in clinical respiratory care. Area of specialization open Strong desire to carry out publishable research Demonstrated record of research publications Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in acute care facility and 2 years teaching experience in a CoARC approved Respiratory Care Program
