Job Description
The College of Education and Human Development invites applications for a non- tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor of Special Education. Position responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses, coordinating the educational diagnostician program, advising graduate students, program administration responsibilities, and service-related activities. The successful candidate will be required to reside in the Corpus Christi area.

The Special Education Program, within the Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Learning Sciences, offers undergraduate courses for teaching preparation, a Master of Science degree in Special Education, and an Educational Diagnostician Certification program.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in special education or related field;
• valid Texas teaching certificate;
• valid Texas educational diagnostician certificate;
• three years teaching experience;
• three years educational diagnostician experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Terminal degree in special education or related field;
• five years teaching experience,
• university teaching experience;
• online teaching experience;
• experience working with students from culturally and linguistically diverse communities;
• evidence of scholarship through presentations or publications.
