JOB SUMMARY:

Assists and advises undergraduate students, including the planning and development for academic enrollment. Assists with planning and implementing of departmental orientation sessions. Manages and creates media documents and promotional materials for the department using InDesign software, blogs, website, Facebook, twitter. Other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:

35% - Essential - Program Coordination: Assists with the design, development, and implementation of student services for the undergraduate program in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Implements changes in policies and procedures to enhance program. Coordinates recruiting for the undergraduate students. Plans and organizes orientation activities.

35% - Essential - Student Advising: Advises students on academics, registration, scholarship, study abroad, and co-ops. Assists with transfer credits and course substitution approvals. Assists with the Academic Variance Request process.

25% - Essential - Media and Graphics Communication Manager: Acquires, gathers, creates, designs, and develops articles, newsletters, flyers, brochures, blog postings, TV monitor, and Facebook entries for the promotion and marketing of the undergrad program and the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Follows branding guidelines established by the University and College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences. Coordinates, maintains, and updates the departmental website and communicates changes to be made to the College website manager.

5% - Essential - Event and Visitor Facilitation: Assists staff with annual departmental undergraduate awards reception and graduation drop-in reception, along with other departmental events as needed. Greets and assists visitors who are exploring our undergraduate program.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs.
