The Office of Sponsored Programs, a division of the UNTHSC Research Office, provides pre-award, post-award, and accounting services for the support of faculty and other investigators while promoting compliance with federal and state agencies, private sponsor agreements, and UNTHSC research policies.
Position Details
The Office of Sponsored Programs at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Senior Grant and Contract Analyst to join our team. This role will support the pre-award administrative activities related to sponsored research including, but not limited to:
* Interpret the sponsor's specific funding announcement and provide policy guidance with all aspects of proposal development, administrative forms, sponsor-required certifications and representations, and compliance requirements.
* Review grant proposals for accuracy and compliance with the policies, regulations, and guidelines as required by UNTHSC and Sponsor.
* Review budgets, making sure that all applicable internal and external requirements have been met.
* Assist with gathering required subcontract documentation when external collaborators are involved in proposals.
* Approve and submit final proposals to sponsors.
* Review, process, and submit NIH Just-In-Time and other information requests prior to award.
* Prepare and present training information workshops.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year College or university; and four (4) years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:
* Experience working with Cayuse or similar grant submission software.
* Experience working in an academic environment or medical center.
* Experience working with PeopleSoft.
