Full Stack Software Developer

Applications are invited for a full-stack developer position housed at the University of California, Irvine (UCI), Department of Medicine, School of Medicine. The incumbent for this full-time position must have a strong background in web-based software development, and prior experience in managing large healthcare datasets and in developing dashboard systems with interactive analytics and data visualizations.

The incumbent will primarily work with Drs. Kai Zheng (Department of Informatics), Dana Mukamel (Department of Medicine), and colleagues on a California Mental Health Services Authority (CalMHSA) funded formative evaluation for the Innovation Technology Suite Project (INN Tech Suite Project), which is a three-year demonstration project developed to improve mental health care access and delivery throughout California using mental health technologies. The incumbent will work as part of an interdisciplinary research and evaluation team consisting of health service researchers, implementation scientists, clinical psychologists, bioinformaticians, and human-computer interaction specialists. Specifically, this person will be involved in research designed to examine the impact of a state-wide innovation project to change access and delivery of county mental health care. Furthermore, this individual will work with Counties (e.g. Orange County) to develop new ways of creating interactive visual representations of dashboard data to facilitate interpretation and discovery.
The INN Tech Suite Project is a multi-county collaborative, and activities will include travel (some overnight) within California, e.g., to meet with county IT personnel. The CalMHSA Formative Evaluation Team is led by Drs. Dara Sorkin and Dana Mukamel who direct the Translational Technologies Enhancing High Quality Care (iTEQC) Research Program within the Department of Medicine at UCI.

Salary: Monthly $5,592.42 - $7,787.42
Total Hours: 8-5, M-F
