Goshen College invites applications for the full-time position of Executive Director of Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center. The Executive Director guides the development of educational and public programming, takes leadership for strategic planning, budget preparation, long-range financial planning, and master planning.  The Executive Director supervises directors of major program areas, the administrative assistant, and the communications manager. The Executive Director is Merry Lea’s representative in campus affairs, community relations, and promotion of the center and its programs. The Executive Director leads the advancement work for Merry Lea. The Executive Director serves as an advocate for Merry Lea’s mission within the campus community, the faith community, and Merry Lea’s service areas.

Qualifications:

Minimum of Master’s degree in a field related to Environmental Education; minimum of five years’ experience as an executive director in a non-profit setting. Required.

Doctoral degree and interest in teaching undergraduate or graduate students preferred. Previous experience in an educational setting; with a record of successful fund-raising. Preferred.
