The Department of Family Medicine (DFM) in the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) at Augusta University (AU) and Augusta University Health are seeking family physician Hospitalists to support its service and education programs.  These positions are in response to anticipated growth of the AU Health primary care clinical services and the Family Medicine Residency Program.  Full time positions as a Hospitalist or a blend of a Hospitalist and a Clinician Educator are available. The DFM is interested in energetic and motivated individuals who will help develop the clinical and academic program as a regional and national leader.

The AU Health System includes a 478-bed adult hospital, a 154-bed children’s hospital, and a Critical Care Center housing a 13-county Level I Trauma Center on its main campus in Augusta, GA and more than 80 outpatient practice sites on campus and in surrounding communities.  These hospitalist positions are located on the main campus.

Minimum Requirements  

Candidates must have completed an ACGME or AOA accredited Family Medicine Residency Program and be board certified, or board eligible. BLS and ACLS certification is also required. Yearly guaranteed salary is competitive and negotiable. Robust benefit package to include medical, dental, and reimbursement for CME and dues/subscriptions.
