Department Overview
The Clinical Research Coordinator I will be a key component of the research team that is conducting a clinical trial in which 200 African-American adults with HIV, who also have diabetes and hypertension, will be participating in an innovative care from a community based pharmacy in Fort Worth. This exciting approach to how persons with HIV are able to be cared for is designed to demonstrate how healthcare can be delivered with improved outcomes for the persons with HIV and remove the barriers associated with traditional medical care models. Funded through the NIH through 2022, this research team will generate exciting new ways to make our community healthier.

Position Details
The Pharmacotherapy Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Clinical Research Coordinator I to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

* Maintain study participant payment system database in real time to ensure payments and reimbursement of study participants are completed in a timely fashion using online payment system.
* Maintain study participant database by entering new data from medical records and from study visits.
* Maintain study participants' and study pharmacists' study visit calendar.
* Travel (via personal vehicle) to study visit locations to perform study related activities.
* Perform vital signs (blood pressure, height, weight) and fingerstick point of care testing procedures.
* Conduct interviews with study participants, healthcare providers and others involved in trial conduct.
* Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications:

High school diploma or GED and three (3) years of related experience in a clinical research setting; or
equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Individuals with formalized research training or certifications are preferred.
* Individuals with pharmacy technician, medical assistant, phlebotomy or clinical research backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
