Description:

Tulane University School of Medicine’s Department of Surgery is currently seeking candidates for the Division Chief of MIS/Bariatric Surgery, a clinical faculty position at the Associate Professor rank or higher.

Responsibilities will include leading the division to achieve its goals in each mission: administrative, education, research and clinical. In addition to clinical duties, it is incumbent to have a commitment to the education of fellows, residents and medical students.


Qualifications:

Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Candidates should have satisfactorily completed a training program in general surgery accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and be eligible for licensure in Louisiana. Successful candidates will have completed fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic & Bariatric Surgery. Expertise and/or training in complex foregut and endoscopic procedures is preferred. The candidate should be comfortable with advanced bariatric surgeries, endoscopic procedures, and robotic surgery.
