Job Summary: The Coordinator of Student & Young Graduate Programs coordinates the Discovering Bama program, serves as staff advisor for the Student Alumni Association, identifies programs to connect current students to the National Alumni Association and develops programs to engage young alumni in alumni chapters and the National Alumni Association. Assists in the planning, organization, and promotion of chapter events and web-based communications.

Additional Department Summary: This position coordinates the Discovering Bama program, serves as staff advisor for the Student Alumni Association, identifies programs to connect current students to the National Alumni Association and develops programs to engage young alumni in alumni chapters and the National Alumni Association. Assists in the planning, organization, and promotion of chapter events. Promotes the National Alumni Association through web-based communications to include social media platforms. Creates and updates content for alumni chapter websites hosted by the National Alumni Association. Assists with travel tour program as needed. Basic knowledge in the usage of personal computers and standard application software (word processing, spreadsheet and/or database management programs). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to work some evening and weekends.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and six months of experience to include student recruitment, university admissions, public relations, marketing, sales, communications, education, or counseling.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have a valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report as determined by the insurance carrier.

Skills and Knowledge: The ability to travel alone out of town, sometimes overnight, and interest in working with prospective college students and their families; the ability to work with different cultures and groups of people.
