The Division of Hematology/Oncology, Department of Medicine in conjunction with the National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking to recruit a faculty member to join the growing Head/Neck Oncology Program. This is an open rank faculty position. Career track and rank will be dependent upon experience and credentials. UNC’s Lineberger Cancer Center is the highest ranked NCI comprehensive cancer center in the southeast, with among the highest levels of NIH funding. Extensive mentorship is available in clinical/translational science, outcomes research, geriatrics, immunogenomics, and clinical trial design. Responsibilities will include patient care, clinical/translational research, participation in multi-disciplinary conference and teaching.

Educational Requirements

MD /DO Board certified or board eligible in medical oncology.

Qualifications and Experience

Individual with experience in clinical, translational, and/or lab-based research are encouraged to apply. Individuals with interest in thyroid cancer and adenoid cystic carcinoma are encouraged to apply.
