The Connected Health Applications and Interventions (CHAI) Core is a NIH-funded core facility that was established in 2000 and is a primary resource for investigators at the University of North Carolina to obtain services in behavioral intervention research, qualitative research, and native mobile and web m-health intervention development. CHAI services include qualitative research methodology and trainings, software development, graphic design, intervention consultation, and user experience and usability testing.

The Digital Project Manager position supports the general project management of complex client projects, establishing scope of work, milestones/tasks, and timelines, coordinating/leading client meetings, creating wireframes, QA testing plans, and assitsting with user experience, design, content development, and research. The position assists with supervision of the Student Intern activites, including training and guidance on appropriate tasks, and consistent monitoring and feedback on work. Responsibilities include also working closely with the Project Coordinator to hand off junior-level tasks on which they can provide support. The position supports Behavior Change Technique (BCT) Taxonomy coding as needed for client work as well as in support of the Functional Design Project. The position also supports other research activities including graphic design support, evaluation, and communication outreach.

Educational Requirements

Masters in Public Health, Health Communications, or related field.

Qualifications and Experience

Experience with health technology, health behavior theory, health communications, and literacy issues, required. Working knowledge and appreciation of research; experience as a member of a research team is desirable. Familiarity with Michie Behavior Change Taxonomy, evaluation, recruitment planning for specialized populations, social media plan development and execution, event planning, presentation development (PowerPoint, Prezi) preferred.
