UHealth IT is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer, Enterprise Imaging .  The Sr. Systems Engineer, Enterprise Imaging will be responsible for the operations, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems and image management, storage, and distribution systems for enterprise-wide medical imaging departments. Coordinates and optimizes integration and interoperability between/among clinical information systems, reporting systems, medical image acquisition devices and medical image storage and distribution systems. Supports the acquisition, transmission, storage and distribution of various medical image formats including XML, JPG, PDF, TIF, MPEG4, HTML, and DICOM. Investigates, analyzes, evaluates, and recommends data and business process solutions to enhance usage and integration of systems and modules.

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Experience supporting the acquisition, transmission, storage and distribution of various medical image formats including XML, JPG, PDF, TIF, MPEG4, HTML, and DICOM.
  • Experience supporting image and video capture, transfer and transcoding methods.
  • Experienced in medical imaging systems integration and interoperability standards and IHE profiles including HL7, DICOM, XDS/XDS-I.
  • Experienced in developing pre-fetch and auto-routing rules.
  • Experience with DICOM morphing and migrations.
  • Experience with AD security administration.
  • Experience supporting databases including maintenance, backups, restoration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix commands and scripting.
  • CIIP or PARCA certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Familiar with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Working knowledge of DICOM, IHE, XDS, XML and HTML.
  • 5+ years’ experience with PACS, RIS, VNA, Structured Reporting, and/or Voice Recognition/Reporting Systems.
  • Prior clinical experience in medical imaging.
  • CIIP or PARCA certification

Education Requirements:Any combination of relevant education, experience, and certifications will be considered.

Supervision Received:

  • The position reports directly to the Enterprise Imaging Manager.
