2 year ADN with 3 year acute care experience

Active KY Registered Nurse License

Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time; stand for extended periods of time. Lift/carry objects up to 20 pounds; push objects up to 20 pounds; walk moderate distance. Work with computers for an extended period of time.

Shift

10:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Monday-Friday as needed; may be partial shifts; may be partial weeks

Job Summary

Monitor and maintain safety of discharged patients awaiting transportation by family to home or awaiting for medications to be filled by UK pharmacy prior to leaving for home. Patient’s will be self-sufficient and cognizant. The purpose of the position is to monitor individual safety and satisfaction with new process of moving discharged individuals into a waiting location v. waiting in patient rooms.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Standard knowledge and skill sets of a registered nurse with adult acute care experience.
computer literate/savvy: Microsoft Office; Teletracking; Allscripts; three years acute care adult patient care; ability to work independently and in groups; critical-thinking; knowledge of evidence-based practices; and clinical assessment skills; strong verbal/written communication skills; interpersonal relationship skill sets

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience

BSN, RN with three years acute care experience within the past 5 years
