Job Description

The Department of Counseling, Health and Kinesiology is currently seeking applicants from qualified candidates for part-time, non-tenure-track adjunct faculty positions. The Health & Kinesiology Program offers undergraduate and graduate degrees that can prepare students for health- and/or kinesiology-related careers in either a school setting or the public sector. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Health and Kinesiology classes (Exercise Science, Pre-Physical Therapy, and EC-12 Physical Education). Preference will be given to applicants who have evidence of effective teaching of courses in the field of Health and Kinesiology. Teaching assignments include face to face and hybrid courses in the candidate's area of expertise. Work hours depend on course schedule and teaching assignments may include day, night, and/or weekend courses.

Required Qualifications:  

Undergraduate Faculty 

Master's degree in Kinesiology or a commensurate field and 18 graduate hours in Kinesiology  

Graduate Faculty 

Doctoral degree in Kinesiology or a commensurate field and 18 doctoral hours in Kinesiology 

Applicants for teaching classes in EC-12 Physical Education degree

Physical education state certification and a minimum of three years of teaching experience in public schools 

Applicants for teaching classes in EC-12 Physical Education degree
Physical education state certification and a minimum of three years of teaching experience in public schools 


Preferred Qualifications:  
University teaching experience
Experience mentoring students. 
Experience with educational technology and distance learning.
