Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job

A successful candidate must be able to develop and teach graduate-level courses in forensic science, pursue a sustained research agenda, supervise graduate student research and actively participate in the continuous development of forensic science programming at SHSU.

Educational Requirements for the Position

Candidates for this tenure-track faculty position should have a doctoral degree with one year of relevant research/teaching experience in the field of forensic biology.

Experience Required for the Position

Experience in emerging technologies and next generation sequencing is highly desirable.

Other Requirements for the Position

Candidates are expected to be dedicated teachers, productive researchers, and professionals prepared to become actively engaged in the diverse programs administered by the College of Criminal Justice.
