Hofstra University is a dynamic community of more than 11,000 students from around the world who are dedicated to civic engagement, academic excellence and becoming leaders in their communities and their careers.Description:Reporting to the Associate Director, the Coordinator for Systems Support is primarily responsible for creating, maintaining and running reports and databases using MS Access, SQL and Excel for the Office of the Bursar/Student Accounts. This position ensures the timely and accurate reporting used for, but not limited to: Student Accounts review, internal and external audits, management decision making, the Office of Financial Affairs and Institutional Research.

In addition, this position is responsible for regular processing and reviewing jobs for billing and data maintenance in the student information system, Ellucian Banner and payment system, TouchNet and working with the University’s Computer Center. The incumbent is the main point of contact and responsible to ensure the Office’s systems and software are functioning properly, testing of any upgrades and acts as a resource within the Department.

The Coordinator will perform other duties not specifically identified above, but which require the same degree of skills and which are normally included within the above job title. Must be able to work overtime during peak periods and be present at University functions.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting or Finance, Information Systems or a Computer Science field required; Master’s degree a plus. A minimum of two years of relevant experience. Demonstrated proficiency in successfully and efficiently developing Access databases and complex Excel Reports. Experience implementing and rolling-out systems, providing end user training, administering and maintaining systems. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications. Must be highly analytical, well-organized and detail-oriented with a proven record of setting and meeting goals. Demonstrate the ability to independently and effectively manage multiple projects. A knowledge of Ellucian Banner preferred.
