The Department of Business Administration at Flagler College invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Hospitality and Tourism Management at the rank of Associate or Full Professor with the possibility of a named position to begin fall 2019.

The teaching load is four sections per semester. Responsibilities will include helping to develop a vision and strategic plan for the new Hospitality and Tourism Management major, curriculum development, and capitalizing on community relationships with industry partners. Teaching and/or industry experience in two or more of the following areas is required: attractions, hotel management and operations, finance and accounting, marketing and sales, human resources, and resort/club administration. The candidate will also be expected to take on a leadership role at the College, mentor undergraduate students, and maintain an active professional development agenda. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience.

Flagler College is an independent, co-educational college with an enrollment of 2,500 undergraduate students. The College is located in historic St. Augustine, Florida, approximately 35 miles south of Jacksonville and 55 miles north of Daytona Beach.

Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Hospitality/Tourism Management is required. Candidates must demonstrate an enthusiastic commitment to teaching and mentoring undergraduate students and have an active professional agenda. Candidates with an excellent teaching record, experience with program and curriculum development, and professional experience in the hospitality/tourism industry are especially preferred.
