Position Details

Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job: A successful candidate must be able to develop and teach graduate-level courses in forensic science, pursue a sustained research agenda, supervise graduate student research and actively participate in the continuous development of forensic science programming at SHSU.

Educational Requirements for the Position: Candidates for this tenure-track faculty position should have a doctoral degree with one year of relevant research/teaching experience in the field of forensic biology.

Experience Required for the Position: Experience in emerging technologies and next generation sequencing is highly desirable.

Other Requirements for the Position: Candidates are expected to be dedicated teachers, productive researchers, and professionals prepared to become actively engaged in the diverse programs administered by the College of Criminal Justice.
