Description:

The Department of Anthropology & Sociology at Albion College invites applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor in Sociology for the 2019-2020 academic year. Areas of specialization are open for this one-year replacement position. Candidates should have teaching experience and be enthusiastic about teaching Introduction to Sociology, Social Stratification, and courses in their areas of expertise. A Ph.D. is preferred, but not required at the time of appointment. Teaching experience and promise of excellence in undergraduate teaching is essential. Candidates with experience teaching a diverse student population will be given preference. The teaching load is three courses per semester and includes the possibility of contributing to Albion’s interdisciplinary programs and institutes.
