Student Accounts Counselor

The Student Accounts Counselor is responsible to the Bursar for maintaining accounts receivables records, monitoring past due accounts, and for pursuing strategies for helping debtors meet their financial obligations to the university. In addition to assisting current students with billing questions or problems, the Student Accounts Counselor will assist in presentations to students and families through Admission Special Events and SOAR. This position will assist with the collection of bad debts. The Student Accounts Counselor also manages the Federal Perkins Loan program in coordination with University Accounting Services.

A bachelor's degree is required. Working knowledge and experience in daily balancing of payments (cash or check), data entry/processing, and higher education student service area. The ability to communicate well both orally and in writing is essential. Must utilize Microsoft Excel for reporting and compiling data. Candidates must also have a commitment to Catholic higher education and to the University's Lasallian Mission.
Prior financial aid or accounts receivable work is preferred. Banner and Cognos experience is preferred.
