Educational and Experience Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in related field. Three years of experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Nature & Purpose of Position: Assists the Admissions Associate Director of Operations with various initiatives and objectives. Performs moderately complex managerial work providing direction and guidance in operations and planning in the Admissions department.

Primary Responsibilities: Works with the Associate Director of Operations to program functions or staff in admissions operations. Assists with establishing goals and objectives; developing priorities and standards for achieving goals; identifying and recommending areas of operational improvement; monitoring budgeting expenditures; and training new and current staff. Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of the Undergraduate Analysts. Develops and maintains scheduling of staff. Performs staff evaluations. Plans and implement staff development opportunities. Prepares productivity reports. Plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates policies and procedures and monitors compliance with policies and procedures. Serves as the primary liaison between Admissions, IT@Sam, and our software vendors. Translates departmental requirements into programming system specifications. Provides documentation and consultation for the implementation of these systems. Verifies proper performance of programs and subsystems. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Other Specifications:

  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws. Ability to manage business functions.
  • Communicates with other university departments, personnel, and other agencies.

This position may be designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA).
