Director of the Career Center

Our Career Center serves a vital role in delivering on this commitment, and we are seeking an experienced and energetic individual to help lead our career services initiatives and to serve as the Director of the Career Center.
Reporting directly to the Provost, the Director of the Career Center plays a key role on the leadership team within the Academic Affairs Division. The Director works closely with students, alumni, members of the faculty, the Student Life Division, and the community. The Director will have an opportunity to help reshape the Career Center as we move forward. Marietta College is in the early stages of a comprehensive capital campaign, and Student Services – including the Career Center – is one of the key components of the campaign. The successful candidate will have the ability to articulate the value of a liberal arts education to parents, students, and prospective employers.
Minimum qualifications include either
*A master’s degree and at least five years of professional experience in a collegiate setting in Career Services or a closely related field with increased levels of responsibility over time, OR
*A bachelor’s degree and at least ten years of experience in Career Services, Career Recruitment/Placement, or a closely related field with significant management-level experience.
