Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, tenure track faculty position as the Michael A. Leven Endowed Chair and Associate Professor or Professor of Hospitality in the Michael A. Leven School of Management, Entrepreneurship and Hospitality which begins September 2019.
The Michael A. Leven School of Management, Entrepreneurship and Hospitality in the Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications to hire a faculty member for the Michael A. Leven Endowed Chair starting September 2019.
The successful individual will hold the rank of professor or associate professor and have educational credentials and background in Hospitality Management or a related discipline. The role for the Michael A. Leven Endowed Chair will be to lead curriculum and program development in the BBA in Hospitality Management as well as increase the professional/academic reputation of the Leven School.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record and a clear trajectory of scholarship in the field of hospitality and the potential and motivation to publish high quality, impactful research in leading hospitality-related journals. The candidate is also expected to demonstrate high-quality teaching in the field of hospitality management. Candidates will be expected to engage in quality scholarly activity consistent with AACSB accreditation, demonstrate effective teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and potentially assist with doctoral-level students.
Candidates will be expected to provide service to the university and wider community.
Candidates must have earned a Ph.D./DBA in Business Administration or Hospitality or a related area, or foreign equivalent. The successful candidate would have a demonstrated record of hospitality industry engagement and a record and trajectory of high-quality research in hospitality related journals. In addition, candidates should have demonstrated strong teaching effectiveness. Ideal candidates will have the ability and/or willingness to teach online or in a face-to-face format and the ability and motivation to improve the visibility of the Michael A. Leven School of Management, Entrepreneurship and Hospitality in the academic and professional community.
