Position Summary:
IT Service and Delivery. The Audio-Visual Technician provides support, maintenance, and installation services for the Armstrong and Liberty campuses. This position is instrumental to the successful implementation and maintenance/support of AV equipment in various venues in order to facilitate instruction, collaboration, and student success.

Essential Functions

Provides tier 2/3 support of audio visual equipment utilized in instructional and department settings.

Installs audio-visual technologies equipment.

Assesses space for equipment upgrades.

Completes service tickets for audio-visual support.

Georgia Southern University is a Tobacco Free Campus.

Minimum Education Required:
High school diploma or equivalent; one or more years of post-secondary education/formal technical training (additional experience may substitute for some of the education requirement)

Two or more years of related work experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; legally authorized to work in the United States; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.
