Preferred QualificationsPosition SummaryPrimary duties; sweeps, dusts, washes, mops, strips, and waxes floors. Cleans windows, walls, furniture, and other equipment in and around the university buildings and grounds. Collects and moves bulk quantities of trash and debris. Moves large trash containers in and out of university buildings. Secures and unlocks university buildings. Delivers, receives, and transports miscellaneous supplies and goods to and from various buildings. Performs minor maintenance on glass, windows, doors, electrical switches, Venetian blinds, fans, and other building equipment. Operates various types of cleaning machinery. Performs related work as required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies- Attitude, initiative and interest in job details will be considered on an equal basis with related experience.

- Ability to lift 5 gallon pails of liquids (up to 40 lbs.), and load and unload heavy floor care machines.
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, squat, lift, kneel, and work with hands above head.
- Must be able to work from standard and extended ladder.

Duties/Responsibilities Duties/ResponsibilitiesClean in assigned building areas following established routines and procedures. Serve as a lead person on cleaning assignments and may assist in training Building Service Worker I employees on methods and procedures.
