Assistant Professor-Oboe

Position: Artist/Teacher of oboe – tenure track position

Michael and Anne Greenwood School of Music, Oklahoma State University - Stillwater, Oklahoma

Responsibilities: Teach studio lessons and double reed techniques classes. Teach additional courses as candidate’s expertise, load, and school needs dictate, such as double reeds class, reed making, oboe pedagogy and literature, and Introduction to Music; possibly serve as Director of the annual OSU Summer Music Camp. In addition to teaching, all music faculty are expected to be productive as scholars/artists and to engage in music school, university and professional service.

Qualifications:

• Earned doctorate preferred, Masters required.
• Evidence of successful teaching and performance.
• Record of successful recruiting abilities.

Rank and Salary: Tenure Track – Assistant Professor

Beginning Date: August 16, 2019

Oklahoma State University: The University, with approximately 23,000 students at its main campus in Stillwater, is located approximately 65 miles from Tulsa and Oklahoma City. The Greenwood School of Music has thirty three full-time and ten part-time faculty members and is accredited by the NASM. The School offers the degrees of Master of Music; Bachelor of Music (with options in music education and performance); Bachelor of Science in Music Industry; and Bachelor of Arts with a Concentration in Music.
