Job Description:

Under the guidance of the Director of Admissions & Recruitment, the Admissions Coordinator is part of the College's Admissions and Recruitment team. The Admissions Coordinator will assist with admissions advising, evaluating general and selective applications and the reviewing of transfer credit. The Coordinator will also assist the Director with recruitment activities/events, the evaluation, development, and implementation of admissions policies and procedures, and CRM/SIS systems.

Examples of Duties:

  • Assists the Director with providing leadership to the Admission staff and managing office workflow;
  • Coordinates special recruitment activities and programs on and off campus;
  • Manages travel requests for high school visits, campus tours & college fairs;
  • Assists with hiring, training of staff, and supervision of Admissions staff;
  • Assists in the preparation of performance evaluations for staff;
  • Assists with developing and maintaining communication plans that span every stage of the admissions funnel - inquiry to accepted students;
  • Monitors the Admissions website for accurate updates;
  • Assists with developing and implementing policies and procedures;
  • Assists with revisions of the admissions application, forms and materials;
  • Collaborates with the Chelsea campus for Allied Health selective programs and;
  • Collaborates with other departments/divisions to carry out the philosophy of a student-centered environment

Requirements:

  • Master's degree;
  • Minimum of three years of experience working with Admissions or Academic counseling/advising or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience, preferably in the Massachusetts community college system;
  • Supervisory experience highly preferred;
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills;
  • Valid Driver's license and;
  • Ability to travel to and from recruitment activities;
  • Experience working with Student Information and CRM Systems, knowledge of Colleague and Hobsons/Radius preferred; and
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.

Additional Information:

Salary Range: $59,939 - $62,410. Actual Salary Will Be Commensurate With Education and Experience in Accordance with MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Full state Benefits.

Grade: 6, Unit-Professional position
