Salary: $5,325 - $10,533 monthly

Position Description:
Under the general and direct supervision of the UCLA Dental Transformation Initiative (DTI) Director and Chair of the Division of Public Health and Community Dentistry, the DTI Project Manager (DTIPM) is responsible for providing leadership to two or more Project Managers to ensure that the strategic direction and performance of DTI project teams/workgroups are in line with the overall DTI project plan and deliverables. The DTIPM works with team/workgroup Project Managers to ensure timely completion of milestones and deliverables, and may also manage a team committed to achieving specified goals of a highly visible, complex and multi-faceted project. The DTIPM is part of the DTI Project Leadership Team, working with the Director, Associate Director and Contracts/Finances Manager to oversee successful strategic operation of the DTI project. The DTIPM also is responsible for working with lower-level Project Managers to resolve diverse problems through the use of data analysis and in-depth evaluation of various factors. The position incumbent will exercise judgment within broadly defined policies in developing methods and techniques for obtaining results.

In the 2007 edition of U.S. News and World Report, UCLA Medical Center was ranked best in the West, as well as one of the top 3 hospitals in the United States alongside Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Johns Hopkins Hospital. In 15 of the 16 medical specialty areas examined, UCLA Medical Center ranked in the top 20.
