Position Description
  • Position Summary

    Applications are invited for one or more lecturer positions in statistics beginning August 19, 2019. These positions entail teaching a wide variety of undergraduate statistics courses. They also include the possibility of participating in the development of our programs in data science.  This position can also involve teaching of lower division courses in mathematics as needed. The position is a full-time continuing appointment contingent on satisfactory performance and instructional need.

    The teaching load is 15 credit hours per semester, with credit hour offsets granted for special circumstances such as course and program development, course coordination, etc.  Consideration of applications will begin March 4, 2019 and will continue until the position(s) is filled.

  • Qualifications

    Applicants must have a graduate degree in statistics or mathematics.  A PhD is preferred but not required.

    Applicants must have prior University teaching experience.

    Applicants should be proficient with the use of technology in teaching mathematics.
