General Summary

Academic Success Partnerships (ASP) was established in 2012 to equip students with relevant skills and training to be active learners focused on persistence and degree completion. Our commitment provides support beyond the classroom to help students manage work, life, and development during their collegiate experience. We engage students by creating an uplifting and inclusive campus environment designed to affirm students through structured programming, workshops, mentoring, coaching, and educational opportunities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meet regularly with program participants to review academic progress and overall well-being/development.
  • Assess, track and document academic progress of program participants.
  • Develop and lead/facilitate programs and workshops focused on academic, human, and sociocultural development.
  • Communicate and meet with various campus and community partners.
  • Manage and update social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
  • Attend and participate in campus initiatives.
Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and other computer applications.
  • Ability to develop, promote, coordinate, and schedule regularly occurring programs.
  • Experience developing marketing materials such as flyers, brochures and social media postings.
  • Capable of expanding existing experiences and learning new tools to enhance skills.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to take initiative and exhibit independent judgement.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to be flexible and handle ambiguity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity in working with a diverse population of students including first-generation, non-traditional, probationary, and culturally diverse students.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
