Position Description:
Under the supervision of the Lighting and Video Supervisor, the Lighting and Video Technician works in association with Lighting and Video Supervisor, stage supervisors, and lighting and video design faculty of the Department of Theater in the training of lighting and video design students and the planning, coordination, and supervision of theatrical productions for the Department of Theater.

In association and coordination with the Lighting and Video Supervisor, overall responsibilities include:
? Planning, installation, operation, maintenance, and strike of assigned Department of Theater and rental productions
? Maintenance and storage of the department's lighting inventory
? Supervision of employees, graduate teaching assistants, work study students, and lighting and video lab
? Review lighting plots and video specifications from graduate and undergraduate designers, hold designers to professional level standards, give feedback and critique to improve designers' paperwork and communication skills
