Essential Job Duties

The Department of Molecular Biomedical Sciences and the NCSU Veterinary Hospital are currently recruiting a Clinical Veterinarian in Radiology.

The primary responsibility of this clinician will be to assist in the provision of clinical radiology services within the Veterinary Hospital. This involves but is not limited to; performing sonographic exams/sonographic guided sample collection of hospital patients with generation of verbal and written reports as requested, supervising and training of residents in veterinary radiology, overseeing and finalizing resident reports generated in the Radiology Information System in a timely manner, conducting student rounds when scheduled, attending clinic rounds and presenting known case conference to radiology residents when scheduled. This position has an 80-85% clinical appointment.

This position is anticipated to be a one year appointment.

Other Work/Responsibilities

Active participation to the knowledge base through collaboration with other clinical specialists or basic scientists or through independent research is encouraged but not specifically required.

Minimum Education/Experience

DVM (or equivalent degree) and ACVR or ECVDI board eligible.

Departmental Required Skills

Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work with others in a collegial team atmosphere.

Strong commitment to excellence in teaching is expected.

Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Eligibility for veterinary licensure (or faculty certificate) in the State of NC.
