Job Description Summary

Southwestern Michigan College is seeking a Computer Technician for the Help Desk.

The Computer Technician will work approximately 15-20 hours per week. Responsibilities include first and second level desktop support, AV support, break/fix, software and hardware installation along with daily operations.

Minimum requirements include: knowledge of MS desktop applications, Intel and Apple processors, customer service experience, excellent organizational skills, strong troubleshooting ability, and the ability to work in a team environment.

Positions are open for the Niles Campus.

Southwestern Michigan College is a two-year college located approximately 45 minutes north of South Bend, Indiana and approximately 45 minutes from Lake Michigan’s eastern shore.

Special Instructions to Applicants

You must be enrolled in at least 6 credits at the College with a 2.0 cumulative GPA. Contact hours will not be used to meet the 6 credit hour minimum.
OR
You must be enrolled or continuing your education with Ferris State University or Michigan State University on the campus of SMC and be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours and at least 1 credit hour with SMC.
