Operates the Equipment Desk, Front Desk, and Member Services area during facility operating hours; verifies membership through RecTrac Facility Management Software / Bio Metrics and monitors all participants and guests as they enter and exit the facility; serves as a roving recreation assistant; assists in the safety, supervision, and set-up of free play equipment in all open recreation areas including the main gymnasium, auxiliary gymnasium, MAC gymnasium, racquetball concourse, and multipurpose room.

Shift specifics: 10 – 25 hours per week; flexible with class schedule.

Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-month consecutive period.

Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; successful completion of the background investigation process prior to employment.

Preferred Experience

Prior experience providing customer service in a professional and/or recreational setting.
