Stockton University seeking experienced candidates for the exciting, new full-time position of Assistant Director of the Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Center (WGSC).
Successful candidates will have a demonstrated knowledge of and success in developing, coordinating, and presenting programs that tackle gender equity and women’s issues, dynamics of oppression, social justice and of social systems/social change literature and practices. Preference will be given to applicants with intervention experience at a women’s, LGBTQIA+ center, and or a violence intervention program that works with underrepresented individuals and groups, including women, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and/or victims of power-based personal violence.
- Provide advocacy, individual counseling, crisis intervention, and outreach to Stockton University students.
- Hotline response.
- Assist with related programming.
- Work with the Wellness Center offices, other departments and individuals on campus to identify and address power-based personal violence issues including sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, bullying, gender and sexuality-related issues.
- Development and implementation of the Center’s outcomes assessments.
- Collaborating activities and programs with other Student Life staff, informed referral off-campus and emergency support.
- Demonstrate, through past accomplishments and actions, the ability to support Stockton University’s diversity commitment and strong student-centered vision and mission.
- Master’s degree received by May 2019, from an accredited university in an appropriate field, such as Social Work, Counseling, or a closely related field.
- Licensure or license-eligible in a mental health related field (LPC, LCSW, Licensed Psychologist, etc.) or 40 hours of training towards certification as a sexual violence advocate or equivalent.
- Licensure or license-eligible in a mental health related field (LPC, LCSW, Licensed Psychologist, etc.) and 40 hours of training towards certification as a sexual violence advocate or equivalent.
- Experience working as an advocate in higher education that serves victims of crime, including Title IX-related cases, or in equity or diversity program/department on a college or university campus.
- Experience with hands-on counseling and sexual assault hotline response.
- Experience in measuring prevention and intervention-related goals and outcomes.
- Experience assessing and treating substance abuse problems and/or dual diagnosis mental health issues.
- Experience working with and training students and volunteers.
- Good organizational and computer skills including familiarity with Maxient, Titanium, Qualtrics, PowerPoint, etc.
